James co-owns Futureworks with Shane and manages the relationship between the client and Futureworks.

Bachelor of IT, Central Institute of Technology. AMX ACE Programmer.
Shane provides high level programming expertise and is responsible for control systems design, programming, touch panel design and user training. Shane co-owns Futureworks with James and manages internal operations.

After completing a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering, Wyatt joined Futureworks in 2004. He is a qualified AMX ACE Installer. His responsibilities include system engineering, documentation, installation and coordination of maintenance support.

8 years’ experience providing AV and IT solutions, specialising in interactive technologies in the education sector. He is an Extron certified AV technician and is currently working towards becoming an AMX ACE installer. His responsibilities include installation and support of our solutions on site. Mark has previously run his own AV company off-shore.

Michael joined the team in July 2022. With a background in Electrical Engineering, 8 years’ experience working in the theatre and live events industry, and roles in IT, Michael brings a range of skills to the team. His responsibilities include installation and support of our solutions on site.

With the combination of skills and experience gained from several different roles in the Audio-visual / cabling industry for over 10 years, Isaac is well equipped as an audio visual installer. Isaac has completed a variety of courses including, Infocomm International level one, Q-SYS level one training and is also 3M International Structured Copper and Fibre certified and Schneider Actassi certified. His responsibilities include fabrication, installation, and commissioning of AV systems in client spaces.

Bree joined the team in 2022 with a strong background in audio engineering, live event AV and streaming, and has also completed level 1 electrical engineering. He has held the position of head in-house audio-visual technician for several function venues in Wellington and has excelled in various customer service roles for over 10 years. He supports our clients with installation, configuration, maintenance and finishing projects and builds on site.

Dion joined Futureworks in June 2022 as Programme Director, following extensive experience at a range of levels in the tertiary sector, most recently holding a Directorship at the Wellington School of Business and Government at Victoria University of Wellington. In this role he leveraged technology and digital to establish digital strategies and led their operationalisation through the execution of a programme of key projects.
He interprets and provides direction to strategically leverage digital technology, enabling it to contribute to the development of operational efficiencies, create competitive advantage, and to embed digital into the identity of organisations. A key component and passion is the development of physical environments to deliver modern experiences to meet the evolving needs and expectations of stakeholders. Using a consultative approach, he has experience working across disparate groups to build and maintain positive and productive working relationships and networks. By establishing and sharing in a common goal and vision, he gains buy-in by listening to and understanding the needs of clients.

Jacoeb joined the Christchurch team, end of 2024 as the Audio Visual Support Technician for our biggest client down south The University of Canterbury. He has a background in AV, studying at MAINZ and working casually for event companies over the past 3 years. In his time at Futureworks he has gotten his QSYS Level 1, Control 101 and Reflect technician Training as well as Dante Level 1 & 2 certifications. He is currently looking to find his area of expertise and if he wants to specialise in a given area, and with the teams years of experience, they have been helping him grow every day. For the mean time he is on the front line of support, ensuring our client has a smooth and efficient experience with our equipment, supporting them effectively and efficiently with any issues that arise.

With a Master’s degree in History and a background as an electronic security technician, Jack brings a strong technical foundation to his role as an audiovisual technician. He combines professional experience with a longstanding personal interest in electronics and audio, developing a wide range of practical skills over time. Jack is Q-SYS certified and his responsibilities include installation, configuration, and support of audiovisual systems.

Brody is a proud Māori AV Technician based in Ōtautahi (Christchurch), and a qualified Electronic Appliance Service Person with over 15 years of diverse experience in the Audio Visual industry. He specialises in AV solutions for the hospitality, healthcare and education sectors, with a strong background in electronic repairs and expertise in MATV & SMATV system installations. He holds several industry certifications that reflect his high level of skill and commitment to excellence. His approach blends technical precision with cultural integrity, making him a trusted technician in both commercial and kaupapa Māori environments.
