Who we are

Meet the team

We know how to spot talent and how to hire and orient the right people – while we have a tight and very skilled core team, we are confident we can expand by hiring, or partnering/contracting, to meet surge workloads or local requirements. Our current team is as follows:

James Bailey

20 years working with large corporate organisations in sales, sales management, sales director and key account management roles across APAC.

James co-owns Futureworks with Shane and manages the relationship between the client and Futureworks.

Shane Tregurtha

Bachelor of IT, Central Institute of Technology. AMX ACE Programmer.
Shane provides high level programming expertise and is responsible for control systems design, programming, touch panel design and user training. Shane co-owns Futureworks with James and manages internal operations.

Wyatt Schultz

After completing a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering, Wyatt joined Futureworks in 2004. He is a qualified AMX ACE Installer. His responsibilities include system engineering, documentation, installation and coordination of maintenance support.

Richard Tyson

After 20 years of providing IT solutions to market Richard joined us in 2014 to head up our operations in Christchurch for implementation and project management of our solutions. His responsibilities include installation as well as documentation of our solutions.

Mark Hinze

8 years’ experience providing AV and IT solutions, specialising in interactive technologies in the education sector. He is an Extron certified AV technician and is currently working towards becoming an AMX ACE installer. His responsibilities include installation and support of our solutions on site. Mark has previously run his own AV company off-shore.

Anton Baken

Anton joined the team in June 2017 and has completed Q-SYS level 1 training. He is also working towards Q-SYS level 2 as well as working towards AMX ACE installer. Anton has completed level 2 electrical engineering and has worked in sales and services for over 15 years. He supports our clients with installation, configuration, maintenance and finishing projects and builds on site.

Katrina Moar

With over 20 years of Office and Administration experience, Katrina comes to us from the non-profit sector where she was instrumental in the organisation of a team of consultants and advocates for at risk families. She now manages our administration and finance department and when not managing our office, Katrina volunteers her time in the Volunteers office at Mary Potter Hospice, manages several Wellington rental properties for absent owners and runs her own AirBnB from her home.

Morgan Utting

With a Bachelor of Music in Composition and Sonic Arts, and a background in audio repairs and live sound, Morgan is well equipped as an audio visual installer. He has completed Q-SYS Level 1 training and is working towards developing his skills further. His responsibilities include fabrication, installation, and commissioning of AV systems in client spaces.

Belinda Ferreira

Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing Management (Majors in Industrial Psychology and Business Management). Bachelor of Commerce, Honours in Business Management. Belinda is the Business Development Manager for Futureworks and is responsible for identifying rising business opportunities, developing the business side of the company, and building quality long-term relationships with both our current and prospective customers.

Isaac Mckay

With the combination of skills and experience gained from several different roles in the Audio-visual / cabling industry for over 10 years, Isaac is well equipped as an audio visual installer. Isaac has completed a variety of courses including, Infocomm International level one, Q-SYS level one training and is also 3M International Structured Copper and Fibre certified and Schneider Actassi certified. His responsibilities include fabrication, installation, and commissioning of AV systems in client spaces.
